Bow POPS is the parent booster group who works in conjunction with the performing arts department teachers to support theater and music students at all levels in the Bow School District.
POPS meets the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm in the BHS chorus room.
Some projects and events Bow POPS supports are:
*New percussion instruments for BES
*Provide funds for BHS band and chorus students to attend fall team building activities at Camp Lincoln
*Scripts and royalties for BMS annual theater production
*Guest clinicians to work with BMS and BHS jazz bands and BHS chorus
*Parent volunteers for Large Group Festival and One Act Theater Festival when hosted by BHS
*Financial support for all five district music teachers to attend the
National In-Service Music Conference in Texas
*Acoustic study for BMS
*Annual senior awards and Bow POPS Award
*Enrichment awards to support students to attend summer performing arts camps
and participate in enrichment activities
Bow POPS Performing Arts Enrichment Awards are open to performing arts students currently enrolled in grades 5-12 for the purpose of assisting the student financially in their pursuit of outside enrichment activities such as summer camps/programs and private lessons.
Applications are reviewed and awards may be given three times a year: November, February and May. Application deadlines are October 31, January 31, and April 30.
